I am bittersweet about spring break. The end of spring break means I do not have to work anymore. I decided to quit my job to focus on school. Plus, in April, I have a ton of assignments that are due every week. The end of spring break also means the beginning of school again. This time around, school will be over before I know it! It is the down hill slope. I am excited and nervous. This does not leave me much time to pick up my grades, but I will be happy when this is all over. I am interested to see how being unemployed is. It has been 4 years since I have not worked! I am ready to conquer the rest of this semester!!

Famous Last Words: The Beginning of Something New
I can not believe how this spring break flew by!! Like every previous spring break, I told myself that I would catch up or get ahead on school work but I did not. Nevertheless, spring break was super fun. I mostly worked during the break but on Wednesday I saw Lorde at the BOK Center with my bestie, Su! She was a goddess. My favorite song in her album Melodrama would be The Louvre. I would definitely go see her again. She seemed like an authentic and genuine person. I was pleasantly surprised that she was better live than she was on her album. I should have listened to her album beforehand but I knew a handful of songs. Her opening acts were Tove Styrke and Run the Jewels. I liked Tove, but Run the Jewels were not my forte. Before the concert, we had all you can eat sushi at Sake 2 Me. My eyes were hungrier than my stomach. I ordered WAY TOO much food! I stuffed myself until I wanted to throw up. I did not want any of the sushi to go to waste. Su and I probably had about 14 rolls. It was crazy.

Famous Last Words: Getting Back
From my last post, you could see that it was a rough week. So this week and the week forward I plan on getting back on track and doing better than ever! I think pasting the halfway mark has encouraged me to try and finish strong. Especially since so much is on the line. At this point, my goal is to pass my classes. I am not too worried about this class but my anatomy, genetics, and economics classes are my main concern. I think my study techniques that have worked in the past are not working for these particular classes. I hope I gain new studying methods from this experience or at least gain something from this unfortunate semester.
For this class, I am excited to be at the final stretch. My goal is to be finished with the course soon! I don't want to sacrifice quality so I am taking it a slow and enjoying my time. The class is a breather compared to my other courses. I have been able to read stories of other students and it is still interesting to see the different writing techniques that they do. I feel like my writing skills have improved from the constant practice. I like how I am able to formulate longer, more detailed responses now than before.
Spring break is right around the corner! Next week I have a practical and that is it. I am hoping to use spring break as a week to catch up and solidify my knowledge on my subjects. However, whether or not it will happen, we will see. After spring break, I will be constantly busy with either exams, quizzes, or practicals all in April! Then after April it will be finals season in May. Time sure does fly by.
I leave you with the quote, "never let a stumble in the road be the end of the journey." Finish the semester strong!

Famous Last Words: Crazy!
This week has been crazy! It has probably been the craziest and busiest week of my semester so far. I do not want a week like this until a long while. I definitely am ready for this weekend. Since the ice storm, my Anatomy practical and exam got pushed back. Therefore, I had to take three exams on Friday. I was not ready for either of them. Fingers crossed I did manageable! I learned that I need to spend more time on my studies. This morning, right before my test, I found 1 Yuan in the South Oval. I think it was a sign that even though my tests may not go as planned, it's okay. At least my morning started off well. I was talking to my friend about my Yuan. 6 Yuans is about equivalent to 1 dollar. So the Yuan I found was about 16 cents.
I am starting to notice that my comments and posts are becoming longer with more ease. I think I am improving on my length! That is one thing I am happy about. The portfolio and storybooks I have read from my classmates shock me. I am amazed on how creative and well articulate my classmates are. I hope that they think the same of my work too!
I decided to use this photo because it summed up my week. Although my week was crazy, I like to think it added spice in my life. If it wasn't exciting or fast paced sometimes, life would feel stagnant.

Famous Last Words: Snow Week
This week reading the Mabharata reminded me of my World Religions class. I believe during our Hinduism section, we read part of the Mabharata. I think the Indian culture is interesting because of all the epics and gods in their stories. Each god is unique. It is also interesting that the "popular" gods change over time. It is an evolving religion, whereas other religions have one set god that they worship and have been worshipping for a long period of time. My storybook seems like an interesting idea, but I hope I can make it an amazing storybook. I think when it comes to projects it is 50% idea or concept and 50% execution.
Last weekend I had a very important interview. I think it went alright. I believe it could have gone better. I should know the results of the interview soon. The hardest part is waiting! I can be an impatient person. Although, this week has flown by quickly from sleeping and napping. I am anxious to see the results. Fingers crossed!
I am appreciative of the snow days we had this week. However, instead of using the time to catch up on classes, I have no idea where the time went. I was absolutely unproductive. I think the only productive thing I did during the break was go to work an hour earlier than normal. Coming back to school, I wished we did have school during those days. My anatomy class pushed back the practical and exam, which is good because I did not study for them during the break. However, my exam is on the day when the rest of my exams are! As it stands, I have three exams on Friday. In some ways, I am glad they are on the same day because they will be over all at once. On the other hand, I do have to be very careful on how much time I allocate for studying. I am starting to stress a little, but I am sure it will all work out.

Famous Last Words: The Beginning
Happy Valentine’s day everyone! I hope you are able to
celebrate it with your loved ones!
I do not have a valentine, but I do have GALentines! They were so
sweet to bake me cookies and chocolates, definitely something I did not need,
but something that will make this week bearable!

I am starting to begin my storybook of Parvati's life. I think the
idea that I have is interesting, but I hope I can pull it off! I have seen
other people's projects and stories, I think they are all wonderful. Sometimes,
I feel like I am lacking on writing skills. I hope that the more I create
stories and edit them, they will sound good. I think what makes their
stories successful is the well articulated and detailed sentences. Dialogue has
also made some stories sound more realistic rather than have the story told. I
think I will try to do third person point of views and include dialogue in my
next stories. I am still a little unsure on which direction I want my storybook
to go.
This week has been a little stressful. Last week was more
stressful with all my exams. However, after exams, I normal have an injured
brain that needs time to recuperate, so I fall behind in some of my studies. In
anatomy, we have consecutive tests which I do not like, but understand on why
they are structured that way. On Saturday, I have a very important interview
that has been looming over me this entire month. As it comes closer to the
date, I worry I won't have enough time to prepare for it and stay on top of all
the homework and studying. Luckily, in the beginning of the semester, I was
able to get ahead on the Connect homework in two of my classes.
Final note, I think I am addicted to Canva.

Famous Last Words: Already Stressed
Although this week is not quite over yet, I am already
dreading and stressing about next week. I was able to survive the first round
of exams this week. It was crazy! Last Wednesday, I had an anatomy practical.
On Monday, I had my anatomy lecture exam. I had a bone quiz on Wednesday.
Finally, today, Friday, I had an exam in Genetics and Macroeconomics. I might
have survived, but I barely scraped by. It seems like it is one task after
another. Although I finished the exams, I should feel relieved. However, I feel
the opposite. Next week, I have a very important interview which worries me.
Doubt and fear run through my mind. My stress of this week is only gone to be
replaced by another week’s stress. Due to the exams and quiz, I fell behind in
everything. I hope to use this weekend and this week to catch up. At this
point, I feel like I will be unable to get caught up. But, I will try my
hardest. This semester has a good mix of hard and easier classes. I did not
think economics was going to be so hard, but I was mistaken. It might be because
I have more of a science mindset rather than a business mindset. It is sad, I
am getting used to this feeling. I have had this feeling every semester. The beginning
of the semester is always upbeat and full of promise.
I read someone’s introduction and story this week. It was
really well written. I was honestly jealous of how eloquent the writing was. I
strive to be that well articulate with my words. With every good thing, it
requires practice. I think this class will be able to give me reasons to
increase my writing capacities.
It may feel like everything is downhill, but I think I am
going uphill to the top of the mountain.
